You’re invited: Prayer Summit 2023

By Monty Patton | Jan 11, 2023

The church exploded with people of all walks of life from different ethnicities, backgrounds, stories and economic status. Literally thousands of people bowed a knee to Jesus, making Him both Savior and Lord of their lives. Miracles, signs, wonders filled the church, as they saw the movement of the Holy Spirit.

We often read and ponder what it would be like to experience a movement of God like that in our lifetime.

In Acts 6:4, we find these words said by the Apostles: “But we will devote ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

Ministry of the word. For the most part, we’ve got that one down.

But Prayer! If we are honest, we talk about prayer more than we actually pray. We make prayer lists and share prayer requests but spend little time submitting to the direction of the Holy Spirit through prayer. In most churches, corporate prayer is something we do to let the praise team or choir exit the stage. And we wonder why we don’t experience the movement of the Holy Spirit.

We want to implore you to a different way — to learn what it is like to experience “Scripture-Fed, Spirit-Led, Worship-Based Prayer.” To pray God’s Word, lean into what the Holy Spirit is saying, and Worship.

Pastors and leaders are invited to join together at Cityview Church, 3636 W. Greenway Road in Phoenix, on Jan. 23, 4 p.m.-6 p.m.. This will be followed by a short dinner break and then a church-wide Prayer Summit from 6:30 until the Holy Spirit is done speaking to us.

Our meeting will be led by Paul Meldrum, who is a leader with 6: 4 Fellowship (64fellowship.com) and an elder of Flagstaff Bible Church (SBC).

This event is hosted by the Thrive Network and Send Network Arizona.

Acts 6:7 says, “So the word of God spread, the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly in number, and a large group of priests became obedient to the faith.”

Before we can expect a 6:7 movement, we must have a 6:4 church.

I look forward to seeing on January 23 at 4 p.m. You can register here.
