NAMB holds Revive Summit in Tucson

The North American Mission Board held a Revive Summit March 14-15 at 22nd Street Baptist Church in Tucson.

NAMB’s Revive Summit is a two-day event that includes in-depth Bible study and prayer, practical instructions to improve biblical preaching, and proven steps to move a church toward following Jesus’ plan for the church.

More than 90 people registered for this summit, including people from Cochise, Yuma, Estrella and Catalina associations.

This Revive Summit was led by Mark Clifton, senior director of the NAMB Replant team. Other Summit team members were Richard Blackaby, president of Blackaby Ministries International; Bob Bickford, associate director of NAMB Replant; Frank Lewis, a revitalization pastor in Nashville, Tennessee; Joseph Crider, dean of the school of music, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas.; and JimBo Stewart, NAMB Replanter Development leader.

Topics that were shared with those attending the Summit were “Preaching When It is Hard” (Frank Lewis); ”Christ’s Presence in the Church,” “Following Jesus” and “The Ways of God” (Richard Blackaby); “Diagnosis of a Declining Church” and “Prescription for a Revived Church” (Mark Clifton).

Several practical breakout sessions were held each afternoon.
