Book Corner: The Journal I Never Kept: What If by Mark Pitts

May 10, 2021

Mark Pitts has been the senior pastor of Village Meadows Baptist Church in Sierra Vista for more than 24 years.

What is this book about?

It’s about key watershed events in my pastoral ministry that have enabled me to effectively lead two congregations in my 31 years as a senior pastor.

What do you want your readers to gain by reading your book?

My aim is to get the reader to think about what they are experiencing, intentionally looking for God’s purpose for it. My experience is that His purpose is to get us to think beyond the ministry box with which we may have constricted ourselves.

Why did you write this book?

The idea came to me about 12 years ago when we were making some church polity decisions that proved to be incredibly important to the making of genuine disciples and the health of our fellowship.

Who do you hope will read this book?

Pastors and church leaders

Where can this book be purchased?

The Journal I Never Kept, What If…? can be purchased through Amazon.com for both hard copy and Kindle versions.
