Book Corner – Taking it Off the Page by Tony Pierce

Mar 8, 2022

Tony Pierce is senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills.

What is this book about?

The book is a synopsis of the Book of James. It is a call for Christians to live a biblical faith.

What do you want your readers to gain by reading your book?

An understanding that if we have a biblical faith, the way we live it out in the world will prove it. Faith that is real will be seen in the changed life it produces, and in the works of Christ being evident in the believer’s life.

Why did you write this book?

From over 40 years experience as a pastor, I have grown concerned about the disconnect between what Christians claim to believe and the way they live their lives. We must return to living a biblical faith.

Who do you hope will read this book?

I would like everyone to read it…but the book was intentionally written to the people in the pews. It is a synopsis that covers all the verses in the book of James, but it is not intended to be highly academic. It was written to be easily understood and practical.

Where can this book be purchased?

This book can be purchased by sending $15 a copy to First Baptist Church, 10215 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268. The book will immediately be sent out. All proceeds from the book go to A Door To Hope ministries to get the Gospel and material goods to the people of Haiti.
