What is this book about?

The first section of the book deals with three critical truths every Christian needs to remember: whose we are, what we are here for, and where our real home is. The second section deals with the application of these truths.

What do you want your readers to gain by reading your book?

The key Bible passage this book is based on is 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV): “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” It would be my hope that we would recommit ourselves to living like we are His and for His glory.

Why did you write this book?

There were two things that motivated me to write this book. In the introduction to the first section, I mention a book by Ronald Vallet, Congregations at the Crossroads. Vallet said that most of the Christian churches in America had become “households of amnesia.” By that he meant we had forgotten some critical truths about our identity. That thought gripped me. I began to ask myself what are those critical truths and how could we help the members of our churches be committed to those truths. The other thing that motivated me to write this book was the desire to leave a message for my children that would help them as they were getting ready to go out into the world. The message of the 3 Ws became that message for both needs. My prayer would be that my children and all of us as Christians in America would remember that Jesus bought us with his blood on the cross, that we are here to bring glory to God and that our real home is heaven.

Who do you hope will read this book?

This was written for everyone in the body of Christ. It is written so that the average church member can understand it and apply it to their daily lives.
