What is Revitalization?
Every church goes through ups and downs, ebbs and flows. Just like an automobile occasionally gets out of alignment, churches can easily get distracted from the main thing. Church revitalization is simply helping existing churches rethink and realign with God's purposes. Every biblical, evangelical church should be about the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40).
Very simply, the church is designed to be a community of believers living on mission for Jesus. The reality is every church can get knocked out of alignment from God's unique mission of fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment within their local context. The purpose and strategy of the church revitalization team is to help churches rediscover and re-energize the local community of believers around their unique Gospel mission by providing resources, processes, and networking together.
Revitalize West, revitalization roadshows, Church Unique, and ReFocus are just a few of the avenues provided within the church revitalization 3 R's strategy.
