Rachel Joy*
IMB worker Rachel Joy, who calls Arizona home, serves in a desert country with a population of 23.31 million. Here, 99% of the people hope their good works — outlined in the five pillars of their faith — and combined with traditional practices from their animistic worldview will help them be in right standing with God.
There is fear and great risk in following Christ here. Most of the women Rachel is trying to reach cannot read, so she is working with an IMB team and national believers to develop a women’s discipleship strategy through storying God’s Word.
THE COOPERATIVE PROGRAM is the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ in every town, every city, every state, and every nation. Your support through the Cooperative Program allows Rachel the opportunity to share with women who are fearful of all of the persecution that comes with following Christ.
PRAY as Rachel shares the gospel in West Africa that people will see Christ as their ultimate treasure and only hope for salvation.
